November 2011 - Good Morning Ann,
The dress has arrived and we are absolutely thrilled with it, it is beautiful!!! Amy is just beaming in it. Aisling loves it as well, just commented it is too short.
A concern for us it that it is too short, don't know if I missmeasured or Amy grew but I need to have it let down hopefully 2 inches as well as let the arm sleeves down at least an inch. We have a Feis this weekend, today is Thursday, so she truly wants to wear it Saturday. I can rebox it up and ship it back to you immediately on Monday, could you possibly work this dress back into alterations and get it back to us before November 1st? She competes again on November 6th and then off to the Oireachtas. Obviously most important is the Oireachtas, she could wear her older short dress in November if she had to, but thought it would be good for her to feel the dress and how it moves one more time before the big day.
It is absolutely delightful, so dainty for her and we all love it!!! I am willing to pay all shipping charges and any alteration fees if need be but need to know your time frame. The arm length, if their isn't enough material built into the sleeve, you could make a puff sleeve at the top like you did Emily's green dress, I don't know and I certainly don't sew but you did such a gorgeous job, I'd really like you to help make this fit better. I guess this way you could just add the bit more material at the top making the puff, and that could help make them longer.
Let me know your thoughts and thank you so much!!!
I would also need to know how to ship this back to you. Do I declare a value, should I ship UPS also coming back, just tell me and I'll do it.

We received Audrey's solo dress right on schedule along with the extra ruffle and the blue material for Anna Rosa. We are thrilled with the dress! It fits perfectly, and we are especially happy with the quality of workmanship and the vibrant, bright colors. The back of the dress is so beautiful that we decided to switch to a bun wig to show off the detailed appliques and embroidery. The sparkly broche on the bow is beautiful, too. Thank you for the wonderful design and attention to detail that you and your staff did. Aisling saw it yesterday and is also pleased. Now, we are making plans for the crystal placement. I have attached a photo of Audrey and will send a better one at her next feis when the dress is crystalled. The other Celtic Steps dancers are eagerly awaiting their dresses now!

just a quick note to let you know that we received Katja's dress today and it is just GORGEOUS!!
We had a little scare today as the fedex delivery man required us to open the box upon delivery to make sure we didn't need to make a claim as the box had been soaked and had water pour out of it when he received it. The dress was quite wet on the waist and cape but we were able to dry it, re-glue a few crystals and no stains. We were so glad you had bubble wrap around it (but think that maybe a watertight bag may be good for future winter shipments to Colorado when we've had snowstorms?! :)).
Everyone at class tonight just loved the collar, and military look with the gorgeous crystal buttons. I'm so glad that I had you all bling it - you did a fabulous job. Most importantly, Katja LOVES it - and your last little orange dress was very hard to beat!
Thank you for all of your beautiful attention to detail. My Mom needs to do a little alteration as the skirt is a little long and it's a big large in the bodice (so she'll take in the side seams a bit) but we just love it and so does Aisling. Always happier to have it be a little big and adjustable then no options (Katja looks like she's lost weight as they've been dancing so much).
We'll take a few photos for you at her feis this weekend and will email them to you for you to see.

New Dress Buyer May 2011 - Dear Ann, my dress has arrived today. It is very beatiful and very similar to the one I have choosen in the gallery. The fabric of the skirt and sleeves is even more beautiful than how I expected. The dress itself is really beautiful and it seems it has a great value for the money it costs.
It fits well, just needs some small adjustments at the level of the chest because fits a bit too tight. My mother is able to sew (she is not a dressmaker though) and for this reason I was wondering if the dress can be adjusted by my her or if we need a professional tailor.
By the way I am very happy with the dress and I think you have done a great job.

I just wanted to tell you myself how absolutely in love I am with my solos dress, I came and had the dress fitted and took it home with me back in September and three weeks ago was our western US regional Oireachtas. I’m not in Championships yet so I wasn’t able to do solos but I did dance in the traditional set competition and I won! I have attached a picture because I wanted you to see just how much the dress stood out against all the other dresses there. Thank you again SO much for my dress, I could not have wished for anything more beautiful. Thank you for squeezing my dress in and adjusting your schedule just so you could get it done for me, it really meant a lot and most of all thank you for helping me reach my goal of winning! New Dress Buyer November 2010 - Good morning Ann,
thank you for giving me the tracking number yesterday. Therefore I was able to fetch the dress yesterday evening at the UPS Depot. That made everything a lot easier, because throughout the day I am at work.
I want to thank you, too very much that everything was done so very, very much in time. That is so great. And then of course I want to say that I love my new dress. It is absolutley gorgeous, beautiful and fitting perfectly. I really, really love it. The petrol fabric, which seems to be black, depending on the light, that is fantastic. And of course I love the gold and the knotwork, everything. For sure I will recommend you highly in my school though I am very sure that is not necessary after they have seen the dress. I am looking really forward to dance with it on Sunday in Vienna. I am sure it (and myself in it) will look great.

I don't have the words to adequately express my deepest gratitude for Catherine's dress! I cried when I opened the box. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! I was completely speechless when I saw it. It was a truly most appreciated surprise! All of the extra work and design that you did for this dress is spectacular! You are a truly generous soul with the kindest heart!
When Chris and Rosemary came to me and explained that they wanted Catherine to go to our Oireachtas, I was happy and terrified all at the same time. I was thrilled that she was asked to attend, but knew that an appropriate solo dress would be very difficult for me to manage right now. When they shared your company with me, I knew that you could make even my simple ideas look beautiful. While I loved the asymmetrical look of Rosemary's original design, I knew it wasn't in my budget. When the dress arrived with the asymmetrical bodice and all of the STUNNING embroidery, I was completely blown away. Your enormous generosity and kindness to my family will never be forgotten. My husband cried when he saw it as well. Knowing that he will get to see Catherine perform in this beautiful dress makes my heart sing! Catherine is over the moon! She feels so lovely in her new dress! It fits PERFECT!
Thank you seems hugely inadequate for what you've done for us. Today will always be a day to remember for us. What a beautiful gift you've given us, Ann. I will cherish this moment (and this dress!) forever. This is an heirloom that I will always keep. Catherine was tickled to pieces with the rose pin. She adores the bows and all of the sparkle.

New Dress Buyer September 2010 - Hi Ann -
The dress arrived today and it is beautiful. My daughter and I were waiting all day. UPS delivers to residential areas until 7 pm in our area, but when it got to be 6:30 pm we were wondering if it was ever going to arrive. Just about that time, my husband was driving home from work and stopped behind the UPS truck at a light. He followed it around for a bit and then finally flagged it down. The package wasn't in his truck, but another truck was coming to meet him so my husband waited around and it was in that truck, so he picked it up from that driver who was happy not to have to make the delivery as they were very far behind today. We were so glad not to have to wait any longer. As I told my friend today, waiting for an Irish dance dress to arrive is just as exciting as waiting for the arrival of a new baby.
Anyway, it is absolutely beautiful and I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with the dress colors, design and fit. My daughter says it is exactly the correct shades of colors she was wanting. She also said to me "It is such a beautiful dress, I can't believe it is mine!" You have made one dancer and her mom and dad very happy!!

As we both know Alex has been ever so excited about having you make her a new dress.....and I can honestly tell you her look of complete joy and happiness was worth everything. The dresses are AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!! The girls LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! Sydney's is perfect. Maddy's is wonderful, but a bit tight when zipping. Is that something a seamstress could help me with if needed? It also is perfect in length, but if she grows at all, will be short. Is that also something a seamstress could help me with? The good news is that Sydney loves Maddy's dress also, so if Maddy outgrows hers quickly, it can move to Sydney. I have heard so many horror stories about people's dress experiences, and I have to thank you for the pleasure of working with you. You have been so helpful and kind. I have learned a bit from this as well, as I think next time I may add a little to measurements to allow for growth. Never measuring before, and having absolutely not one ounce of sewing ability, I now have a little insight into the process. I think we did pretty good together, though :) Maddy wants me to tell you that she LOVES her flower on her sash, and Sydney LOVES her heart. The sashes are beautiful, and I LOVE the skirt of Sydney's dress. I actually adore Sydney's dress. It is so beautiful.

New Dress Buyer November 2009 - We received Meredith's dress on Friday night. We love it!! It fits perfectly. You are to be commended on your fine work and eye for detail. We are very happy with the dress. We noticed that some of the embroidery stitching is in the shape of a Z. Even if that was not intentional, we are thrilled that it looks like a Z. It gives the dress a personal touch since our last name starts with a Z.

New Dress Buyer November 2009 - Hello Ann, Andrea & Team: The beautiful green, white and gold dress arrived right on schedule this morning. I can't wait for Siobhan to get home from school to try it on, but looking at it here, I am just as pleased as can be with your design, the workmanship, the "bling". It's lovely. Special commendation for the gorgeous cape with the two starburst pins: what a beautiful touch! I'll let you know how it looks on her when she gets home in a couple of hours. But right away, I do want to thank you sincerely for being so upfront, easy to work with, great for keeping us apprised of progress, double-checking the sleeve length before shipping and, best of all, doing exactly what you promised to do, WHEN you promised to do it. It has been a good experience working with Avoca.

I just wanted to take a moment and send you a note letting you know that we absolutley loved Kassidy's dress. It is so beautiful and just what we asked for. The end result was more than we could have imagined. Ir fits her well, so she wore it without alterations to her Oireachtas. She recalled and did well, so the dress will be going to Nationals in Florida as well! Deirdre thought it was lovely and she was also very happy with it. We received Alyssa's dress yesterday and it is absolutely beautiful! It fits her perfectly! We are just so happy with it I can not thank you enough! It is fancy, beautiful and certainly very special! It's gorgeous!! The cape is beautiful too! Alyssa was so excited to open that box when it came I had my son video tape her doing so. It zipped right up and fits like a glove! Our teacher drove right over and absolutely LOVES it too!

Our first “Avoca” dress arrived just fine! We are so in love with it. It’s so pretty – it floats, it sparkles, it fits, and it’s beyond beautiful. The cape with the blue leaves and the sparkly under blue is over the top sp pretty and keeps it “young” for her age – and the crown is perfect. Simple but just so elegant. ThankYOU!!!
Kika just learned a new reel move that makes the entire front just pop up and sparkle Ann you’re gonna love how it flips up. Amazing move like the dress was made for that new reel step.
We couldn’t have dreamed up ourselves but somehow was exactly what we wanted. It fits her perfectly and is the most beautiful dress she has ever had.
